Thank you for your interest in volunteering at WISE Camps this summer! We are looking for volunteers for our mini camps and summer camps who have the following: *A fun and outgoing personality that will get campers excited about their camp! *A desire to work with younger kids and help them learn! *Motivation to do some light teaching during the camp! (a valuable experience!) *A can-do attitude ready to jump in when necessary!

Volunteers need to be available Friday, July 11th from 1-5 p.m. (Location: Tyee Middle School) and then on Saturday, July 12th from 9-4:30 p.m. (closer to July 12th we'll let you know if your shift that day will be 9-noon or 1:30-4:30, so please keep the day open for now!)!

As a volunteer you will be expected to:

• Get to know the names of the students you are working with as well as their interests, strengths, etc.
• Arrive on time to your shifts and stay the entire shift
• Help the instructors with management of students, participating when other campers are not and encouraging them to participate.
• Meet with instructor to have knowledge of the curriculum the teacher is presenting
• Look professional and act as a role model at all times
• Maintain a good attitude

• The ability to add “Teaching Assistant” or "Camp Counselor" to your resume
• Preferential treatment will be given to volunteers who did a good job and who wish to return the following summer
• A possible chance to receive a paid position within WISE camps upon graduation from high school
• A good source for a recommendation when applying to another camp or a job!

Finally, you may be interviewed for a volunteer position. We typically have over 100 volunteers, We need to see how you carry yourself!
