Winter with Wise STEAM Day Camp (Ages 4-12, January 20, 2025, 8:30-3:30, $150, Risdon Middle School)
Although the weather outside is frightful, the science is so delightful! Since there’s no school today, join Wise Camps Winter Event!
At this exciting winter-themed event, campers will dive into the world of science, engineering, math, art, and robotics in a fun and engaging way! They’ll explore everything from liquid nitrogen and dry ice experiments to the beauty and strength of snowflakes through hands-on activities. Campers will create their own souvenirs, learn through play, and enjoy a full day of winter-inspired fun. A delicious lunch catered by Panda Express is included, along with a chance to make a winter-themed edible craft. Children ages 4-12 are welcome to join this magical winter experience!
Super Mario-themed STEAM Camp with Wise (Ages 4-12, June 7, 2025, 1-4 p.m., $50, Tyee Middle School)

Campers spend half the day learning from certified classroom teachers who bring real-world expertise and passion to each session. The other half of the day is taught by enthusiastic high school volunteers, under the supervision of the camp director, who are passionate about a particular STEAM topic (for example: Two high school volunteers who are passionate about biotechnology taught a new station last year and it was a HUGE HIT!).
Lunch & Mid-Day Fun
Each day, campers enjoy a delicious catered lunch from popular spots like Panda Express, Costco, Safeway, and Subway, with menus sent out in advance to accommodate planning. Mid-day, it’s all about fun! Campers play carnival games, earning tickets to spend on exciting prizes on the final day, where it truly feels like a classic summer camp with water balloons, cotton candy, slushies, and more!

Throughout the week, each camper is paired with 2-3 camp counselors who really get to know them, guiding them to get the most out of their experience. Both of our camp directors are high school teachers and parents, and they’ve spent the past decade refining and improving Wise Camps into a beloved summer program that continues to grow every year.
Pre-K Program to Impress
Potty-trained campers aged 4 and 5 will join our PreK program, led by certified elementary school teachers. These programs emphasize hands-on, play-based learning with a focus on STEAM activities. A balanced schedule of indoor learning, outdoor play, and a quiet time after lunch (with the option for naps) will be provided, and parents will receive the daily schedule in advance. On the first day, parents are welcome to visit the classroom to meet the teacher and say goodbye to their child. Detailed packing lists will be shared the week before camp begins. The camp directors’ own children attended this program and found it to be a great way to prepare for kindergarten!
