Stations and Activities
Campers dive into a world of S.T.E.A.M. by visiting diverse, hands-on stations that spark curiosity and creativity.
They might begin their day in the science lab exploring chemical reactions before heading to the tech corner, where coding challenges invite them to think outside the box.
From there, the engineering workshop allows for real-world problem-solving through building and experimentation, and no day would be complete without a stop at the art studio—an inspiring space for painting, sculpting, and other imaginative crafts.
Each station is guided by seasoned educators and energized by eager high school volunteers, ensuring a secure, engaging, and supportive atmosphere.
Lets not forget that this is a summer camp and kids and teachers alike need to have some fun! Campers earn “tickets” throughout the week that they can exchange at the carnival for various prizes that include: icees, squishmallows, waterballoons, and much more!
For our youngest participants, the S.T.E.A.M. Academy offers instruction led by a certified teacher, delivering a science-centric curriculum that goes beyond typical pre-kindergarten programs.
These budding learners also strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills—and each day, they join older campers at a special station packed with exciting demonstrations and interactive activities.
Biotech
In “Biotech,” campers will explore the world of biological science through activities like DNA extraction, fermentation experiments, and forensic investigations. They’ll also practice lab techniques such as using the scientific method and micropipettes while making lip balm, identifying blood types, and fermenting ginger ale.
Dazzling Demos
Prepare to be amazed as science comes to life in this station packed with mind-blowing physics and chemistry demonstrations! From fiery reactions to gravity-defying stunts and color-changing experiments, campers will witness the magic of science up close.
Engineering Adventures
In “Engineering Adventures,” campers will take on exciting hands-on projects to design, build, and test creations, exploring various fields of engineering. Each day is packed with opportunities for creativity and problem-solving.
Kitchen Wizards
Campers will embark on a culinary journey, preparing dishes from around the world while learning about their cultural significance and the chemistry of cooking. They’ll also take home recipes to continue their culinary adventures at home.
Leadership in STEM
Campers will develop teamwork, communication, and networking skills as they prepare to present a science experiment to Pre-K campers. They’ll enhance their public speaking abilities in a safe and fun environment.
Medical Marvels
In “Medical Marvels,” campers will study the human body in health and sickness, using microscopes and models to understand bacteria and organ functions. Activities include testing cleaning products, identifying blood types, and dissecting a chicken wing and a cow eye.
Mind Matters
In “Mind Matters,” campers will delve into psychology and neuroscience through activities and experiments. From learning how memories form to understanding emotions and behavior, each day offers engaging, hands-on experiences.
Molecular Magic
Campers will dive into the periodic table, exploring protons, neutrons, and electrons. They’ll learn key concepts such as density and the differences between physical and chemical changes through exciting experiments and demonstrations.
Money Masters
Campers will explore financial concepts like saving, equity, investments, the stock market, and active versus passive income. The week will conclude with Shark Tank-style presentations.
Natural Disasters and Engineering
Campers will tackle daily challenges like constructing hurricane-resistant structures, rescuing puppies from a “Jello-Quake,” and designing a tsunami-proof city. Through these hands-on activities, they’ll learn the science behind natural disasters while developing their engineering skills.
Rescue Ready
In “Rescue Ready,” campers will learn essential skills like First Aid, CPR, and AED use, with campers aged 9 and older eligible for American Red Cross certification. Guided by a former paramedic, they’ll also explore the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
Robotics and Circuitry
In “Robotics & Circuitry,” campers will explore coding and robotics using microbits and robot kits. They’ll assemble, program, and control their robots through interactive challenges, culminating in an exciting Robot Game that showcases their skills.
Rocket Scientists
Campers will follow the engineering design process to construct rockets, learning about motors, parachutes, and flight patterns. They’ll then have creative freedom to build and launch their own soda rockets.
Save Science City
The city is in trouble, and only you can save it! Join forces with fellow campers to solve thrilling science challenges, stop disasters, and outsmart tricky villains threatening Science City. Through experiments, teamwork, and problem-solving, you’ll become the hero the city needs and have a blast along the way!
STEAM Creations
In “STEAM Creations,” campers will explore street art and graffiti, studying popular artists before creating their own graffiti “tags.” This art project teaches layering techniques and mixed media for a bold, eye-catching result.
Magic Math
Step into a world where math meets magic! Campers will become math magicians as they unlock secret number codes, solve magical puzzles, and use math tricks to amaze their friends. With each activity, they’ll discover the enchanting power of math in a whole new way!
Food
We believe that a satisfying lunch is key to sparking your child’s imagination and keeping them engaged throughout the day. That’s why we’ve teamed up with local favorites like Panda Express, Costco, and Safeway Catering to serve a variety of fresh, kid-friendly meals every day.
Families can expect to receive menus in advance, making it simple to accommodate any dietary needs or preferences. With tasty, nourishing options on their plates, campers stay energized for every experiment, art project, and new friendship along the way.
And of course, a daily lunch is included for each camper!
